OUR STORY
The twins, Lichaela and Loriah Maddox, were brought up by the most loving, God-fearing, and selfless parents imaginable. Ralph and Alicia Maddox (our parents) instilled in us the significance of family, love, and above all, faith in God. Through their guidance, teachings, discipline, and affection, they have equipped us with the essential tools to lead a successful life and strive for excellence in everything we undertake. Thanks to the invaluable lessons imparted by our parents and our unwavering love and commitment to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are confident in living by the words of Jeremiah 29:11, which states, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future," declares the Lord...
Inspired by making biscuits for the very first time from scratch at home with Mom began a culinary journey that would lead us to opening up our own business. That day was very memorable because we were cooking with mom as usual, however, there were no more biscuits in a can! We're defeated and could not understand what to do but our momma didn't feel that way, she just said, 'well I guess we'll just have to make them from scratch' And she grabs some flour and other ingredients I can't even remember. All I can remember is her saying 'we just have to make it'. Well, y'all we made it! praise the Lord and thank you momma!
Fast forward to 2018 we opened up The Twins Delights which is our First small business! We started with just custom cakes and cookies, however, over the years we started to make it vaguer where we allowed our guest to tell us what they wanted and say yes to anything because we excelled at everything. I don't know about y'all but that was very tiring, expensive, wasteful, and it kind of depleted our joy in baking. Although it was fun to bake the challenge was impossible to keep up with, even putting us in a little debt. So we have changed from yes we can do that to here is what we offer now. Which is not a loss but a win for our delightful guests and ourselves.
2018 all the way to 2023 was a learning process for our business. In 2024 we took a year break because we focused on Christian mission work. Licheala is working on becoming a missionary in Japan and Loriah is focusing on glorifying the Lord with her gifts and talents in cooking and baking. Through this year we heard of business as missions, and we are working on using our business to be a blessing to others around the world! But honestly you guys during this time it was very challenging we got to learn more about our individual selves instead of being together as twins and seeing what the Lord has cultivated in each one of us when we're apart and how we can unify and do amazing things as well. We learn to reduce a lot of things from our business for the good because all the other stuff was crowding what we truly needed to be doing, it also confused our delightful guests. so, in the year of 2024 to 25 we've been furiously working to Improve based on our past failures, mistakes, and success.

"Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor; If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. The cord of three strands is not quickly broken. - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
We hope that you enjoy our delights and that you become a member of the Family.
Thank You and God Bless!
